A brief insight and history on what we do and how we do it

Vintage Joinery are a rapidly growing business built on quality and reputation. We believe as a company in investing in our staff, producing quality, trained and skilled people for the future.

Our aim is to produce the complete package for our clients. Constantly looking to update and better our working practices. We are a forward thinking company currently working on projects for the future such as energy rated windows and passive house systems. The future is important to Vintage and working towards better working practices and reducing our carbon footprint are important.    

We are currently working with Coed Cymru on methods of using locally grown Welsh timbers and as a result we got the opportunity to work with Cardiff University, British Wood Working Federation (BWF), BRE and many other recognised leading authorities. We are also working with Construct Wales on achieving several accreditations for the near future.

Vintage's work has been showcased in published works such as 'Welsh Future Homes', 'Construct Wales', 'Blaenau Gwent Regeneration' and 'Woodknowledge Wales'.                                                                                                                                              

Vintage Joinery also receive support from The Low Carbon Research Institute (LCRI)


Vintage Joinery are accredited by the British Woodworking Federation.

Vintage Joinery are also on the steps to attaining the maximum accreditations of the Green Dragon Environmental Standard. Which shows that the company is conscientious and are willing to work hard in achieving good environmental management and standards.

Ebbw Vale Passive House System

The visitor centre was constructed following a successful entry into the 'Future Works Housing Competition' through the consideration of natural resources, climate and geography to determine the most appropriate delivery of a low and carbon house for Wales. Vintage was chosen to produce the external windows, doors as well as the staircase and flooring.

Environmental Resource Centre (ERC) - The Works, Ebbw Vale

The environmental resource centre (ERC) at 'The Works' regeneration site in Ebbw Vale is the first commercially completed project to use the award winning Ty Unnos construction system.
